How to Get Involved

In order to produce a high quality, community-based plan and comply with North Dakota law, McKenzie County will utilize a variety of methods to actively engage community stakeholders. Ways that you can get involved in the comprehensive planning process are listed below.

 

Survey Summary

We surveyed the community to learn what is most important to residents as we plan for the next 10 years. Residents provided their thoughts on growth and development, recreation opportunities, natural resources protection, and other topics. Read the survey summary for more information.

Ribfest in Watford City on Friday, August 8:

County staff and SRF Consulting joined the community at Ribfest on August 8 to kick off the 2035 Comprehensive Plan update. We asked you to tell us what you love about living in McKenzie County and what can be improved. Over 200 people participated!
